This policy explains what data ipstatus.com("we") collects and how we use it. Our default is to collect as little as possible.

Tools and the data you submit

When you use a tool, the IP address, domain, or host you check is sent to our servers (or queried directly from your browser) only to produce the result. We do not store these queries in a database, and we do not associate them with you.

Your IP address

Like all websites, our servers and CDN (AWS) process your IP address to deliver pages and run tools. This is transient operational data. The "What is my IP" tool intentionally displays your own IP back to you; that result is generated per-request and not retained.

Analytics

We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics (Plausible) to count page views and understand which tools are used. It does not track you across sites or build a personal profile, and it does not use cookies.

Advertising

We display ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or device identifiers to serve and measure ads, including personalized ads where permitted. You can control ad personalization in your Google Ad Settings. For visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland we present a consent choice before personalized ads are served.

Affiliate links

Some outbound links are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, the partner may set its own cookies and we may earn a commission. We don't receive your payment details.

Email you give us

If you submit your email through a feedback or suggestion form, we use it only to follow up about that feedback or product updates. We don't sell it. You can ask us to delete it at any time.

Cookies

We set no first-party tracking cookies. Third parties (Google AdSense) may set cookies as described above.

Your rights

Depending on your location you may have rights to access or delete data we hold about you. Because we store almost nothing, in most cases there is little to act on, but you can always reach us via the contact page.

We may update this policy as the site evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
